You cant eat vodka with anything many people eat it

We tell you how to drink vodka correctly – which snacks help to avoid a hangover, and which, on the contrary, can cause health problems.

You need to be able to drink vodka, or rather, eat it. Many people ignore this moment of the feast, and it’s in vain: the wrong snack not only does not save from quick intoxication and hangover, but, on the contrary, can contribute to it. What should not be eaten at 40 degrees and what is best combined with vodka – we tell you below.

It is better to snack on vodka:

The first question on the agenda: is it better to drink vodka or eat it? According to doctors, it will be right to eat and drink. When we eat, the alcohol is distributed in the food, that is, it does not immediately enter the stomach, and the body does not receive a shock. The water we drink dilutes the alcohol already in the stomach – that is, the meaning is approximately the same.

At the same time, experts say, if you drink vodka instead of having a snack, intoxication occurs faster. But it is very necessary to take a break for a glass of water in the middle of the feast, because alcohol strongly dehydrates the body. Here we are talking about a glass of pure water, and not about sweet drinks or juices – they will only create an additional load on the liver and mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, despite the popularity of vodka + juice cocktails, to the question of which juice to drink vodka with, doctors answer unequivocally: you don’t need to drink it with juice, it’s better to eat it.

How to eat vodka properly:

The first rule: Vodka must be consumed with a snack – alcohol on an empty stomach not only causes rapid intoxication and a severe hangover, but also digestive problems.

The rule of the second: you need to eat vodka with the right food, which will not allow you to get drunk right away and get a strong hangover. It is better to eat a little of it than to push into yourself kilograms of some food that will be difficult to digest.

What to eat vodka to avoid a hangover:

  • lean meat, poultry, fish – proteins and fats in the composition of the product interfere with the effect of alcohol on the body and reduce the absorption of alcohol, but (!) the product should not be fatty, since fats put a strain on the pancreas, liver and gall bladder, and in combination with alcohol, this load doubles;
  • sauerkraut and other fermented vegetables, for example, pickled cucumbers, beets, onions – probiotics help digestion and can get rid of a morning hangover;
  • sandwiches with red caviar – caviar contains a large amount of fats and proteins, which reduces the absorption of alcohol into the blood, but bread for such a sandwich is better to take whole grain, not white.

Often, jelly is put on the table as a snack – it is also a high-protein product that is considered a useful snack, and dietary fibers in the meat filling in combination with gelatin have a beneficial effect on the condition of the skin. But people with high cholesterol should be careful with jelly – the dish still has a high fat content, which can exacerbate the problem.

Doctors recommend starting the feast with fresh vegetables – they contain fiber that helps digestion, but be careful with fresh tomatoes – the acids contained in them have a considerable effect on the walls of the stomach, and in combination with vodka, they strongly irritate the walls of its mucous membrane.

You can’t eat vodka with anything:

It is interesting that among the most popular snacks with vodka there were products and dishes that you just can’t snack on:

  • canned cucumbers, tomatoes and other vegetables – when the products contain a lot of vinegar or other preservatives, this leads to irritation of the mucous membrane of the stomach;
  • herring, pickles and salty dishes – take up liquid, and vodka also, in turn, dehydrates the body;
  • lard, fatty and high-calorie products – although lard is considered a classic snack, but, as already mentioned above, excess fat has a negative effect on the work of the pancreas, gall bladder and liver, and in combination with alcohol, it results in a double load, so if you have a snack lard – only in a limited amount;
  • roasts and other hot dishes – accelerate the absorption of alcohol and cause an additional load on the digestive system;
  • mustard, horseradish, ketchup, mayonnaise and other spicy sauces and dishes – harm the gastrointestinal tract, especially if there are already problems with it, and increase the effect of vodka;
  • sweets, in particular sweet fruits and berries – do not go well with vodka at all, if we talk about the taste side of the matter, and, in addition, they affect the pancreas and inhibit the processes of processing alcohol, and fruits and berries also start the fermentation process in the stomach.

In order not to give up your favorite salads, such as Olivier or “fur coat”, doctors advise to lighten them – to dress them not with mayonnaise, but, for example, with low-fat sour cream or Greek yogurt.

It is also important to remember:

no matter how correct the appetizer will be on your table, do not forget about the measure. Vodka (and other alcohol) in moderation is much more important than a snack. And, as already mentioned above, it is necessary to drink a sufficient amount of liquid (water, unsweetened juices or uzvar) to avoid dehydration.
